About Provost IDA Pharmacy

The Provost IDA Pharmacy is a committed and patient-focused community pharmacy dedicated to delivering safe, effective, and accessible healthcare. Through dispensing, clinical screening, and patient counselling, the Provost IDA Pharmacy staff strives to optimise medication use and improve health outcomes for diverse patient populations. Our practice is focused on accuracy, empathy, and creating a positive and personal connection with patients in our community.

As a community pharmacy and a member of the healthcare team, the Provost IDA staff have a strong collaborative relationship with other local health care professionals to provide an overall seamless care approach for the patients in our community. Our staff is particularly passionate about patient interaction and education, taking pride in offering tailored counselling on medication use, side effects, and lifestyle considerations, and helping patients feel informed and confident in managing their own health.

In addition to core dispensing duties, the Provost IDA Pharmacy has experience supporting various clinical and public health services such as vaccinations, travel clinic advice, diabetic counselling, smoking cessation, blood pressure monitoring, and medication reviews. We recognise the evolving role of community pharmacy and actively engage in opportunities to expand our clinical knowledge and service delivery skills. Our commitment to continuous learning ensures we remain up to date with best practices and emerging healthcare needs. This is demonstrated by our pharmacy team winning the W.L Boddy Pharmacy Team Award for Alberta in 2023.
